Apples & Honey Preschool
Apples & Honey Preschool
At Apples and Honey Preschool, the children in our care are at the heart of everything we do. Their voices, and yours as their primary carers, are incorporated in our programming and curriculum, which is guided by the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLFv.2).
Every day we rejoice with the children in their successes as they learn, relate and shape their own stories and experience through play, friendships and learning experiences.
Our fantastic team of dedicated, highly experienced and qualified educators (seven permanent educators: three Early Childhood Teachers (ECT), four Diploma qualified - one of whom is working towards ECT) draw on the knowledge and curriculum perspectives of many Early Childhood theorists (Piaget, Vygotsky, Dewey amongst others).
Our educators love working here so much that our longest serving teacher started at Apples and Honey more than 30 years ago - and has begun to teach the children of children who attended all those years ago.
We always have one or two more educators than the required ratio of educators to children. This higher ratio means that each child has more opportunity to have one-on-one time with the educators.
Our stimulating play-based school readiness program encourages children to explore, investigate, contemplate, problem-solve and reflect on their world, in a multicultural, inclusive and progressive environment. Programs include the School Readiness Program, yoga, meditation, music, movement, and much more.

We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land on which our synagogue stands, the land of the Gamaragal people. Many of us and our forebears have come from other lands and found our spirit of kinship with Indigenous Australians whose connection with this land preceded ours, and we recognise that connection as sacred and enduring. May we walk together toward a future of justice and healing.
