Excellence in Jewish Education

Our goal is excellence in Jewish education on the North Shore through:

  • Providing best-in-class Meah Hebrew & Religious School offerings
  • Building on our B’nei Mitzvah and Post B’nei Mitzvah education programs, bringing additional meaning to students and their families
  • Offering adult education programs that meet the needs of our different demographic groups
  • Offering Text and Tradition classes for people seeking to learn about Jewish life and to those considering conversion
  • Offering meaningful, relevant and dynamic programs for teenagers and young adults
  • Offering programs for people needing education or assistance at significant milestones or stages in their lifecycle
  • Providing a best-in-class Pre-School and Playgroup that offer young families the opportunity to bring their children into a safe environment where they can have Jewish learning experiences from an early age

At NSTE, our educational teams provide meaningful formal and informal instruction to individuals of all ages and backgrounds.

Adult Jewish learners participate weekly in Parashat HaShavua (Torah study) sessions on Shabbat mornings, in “Conversations with the Rabbi” on Mondays, and “Introduction to Judaism” on Thursday evenings. Shabbat post-worship education opportunities are also offered after services on various dates throughout the year with the Rabbis, or lay leaders who share personal learnings on particular Jewish subjects of interest with fellow congregants.
