Leadership Development at NSTE

The identification and development of new leaders is central to the well-being of the NSTE community.

Our community is blessed with both current and future leaders; the future leaders just don’t know it yet!  As an evolving community, we are constantly in need of members who will take on the leadership roles that will stimulate activity within our community to support the directions we wish to pursue. 

The Board of Directors has created a Leadership Development Team to work on strategies for discovering and developing our future leaders. There are groups or committees within the NSTE community who are involved in important initiatives, both large and small, who may benefit from the support of the Leadership Development Team.

The team is designing strategies to assist these committees with their leadership needs and succession planning. We will also be seeking leaders within those groups who may wish to take on other roles within our community.  Some of you will already bring leadership experience and expertise. Others would like to develop theirs. In any case, NSTE proposes to provide training to people wishing to step into leadership roles when and as needed.
